Important Notes regarding the Medical Clinic:

Booked Appointments - We do advise patients to book appointments with the doctor since walk-in availability is subject to patient flow. We aim to accommodate booked appointments however we can not always promise that all booked appointments will be seen precisely on schedule. Please let reception know if you are in a ‘hurry’ so they can try to help book accordingly (i.e. at the beginning of a doctors shifts, during slower days etc.).

We encourage patients to only have one primary issue per visit to ensure all patients are seen in a timely fashion.

Walk-ins – Walk-ins are squeezed in between booked appointments & therefore wait times can tremendously vary. Doctors will cut off walk-ins once they are overwhelmed with patient flow. We advise patients to call before coming over to get updated on walk-in status and tentative wait times. Please note, calls regarding walk-in flow should be made within an hour of coming down since patient flow wait times can drastically change throughout the day.

Inform Reception – Please let reception know the nature of your appointment so that they can ensure you are booked correctly & for sufficient time with the doctor (i.e. physicals, paps, well baby checks, immunizations etc.).

Booking Physicals & Paps – As a general policy, the doctors prefer to have a ‘Meet & Greet’ with patients prior to booking physicals/paps. Please be advised that our doctors are limited to the number of physicals they can do each shift & therefore some doctors are booking further in advance than others. If you have more of an immediate concern, we advise coming in for a regular appointment to discuss that particular concern with the doctor.

Booking an Appointment for the Lab: WE ARE A CLOSED LAB – Our lab only accepts requisitions from doctors who work within our clinic. We do not take requisitions from external doctors.

LAB APPOINTMENT MUST BE BOOKED – Please call reception to book appointments for bloodwork/injections. Our staff assist multiple doctors and therefore can not always accommodate walk-in bloodwork outside of lab times. The lab is open Monday through Saturday (morning and afternoon appointments available).

LAB FEES – Most tests are covered under ohip. Certain atypical tests are not covered under ohip, which doctors will advise you of. If you are a ‘Cash Patient’ (do not have ohip) there is a $20 administrative fee for having bloodwork done. This does not cover the additional lab fees from Gamma Dyna Care.
